KDE education project has a suite of tools and applications to learn from Japanese Kanjis to English as a second Language to how to say "Hola amigos" and not stop there.

Here are some of the tools that KDE can have your classroom learn not just one but many languages.

  • kwordquiz - Fun game in which the student need to make use of his vocabulary skills to learn the language.

  • Kletters - The application will let you learn the alphabet and also basic syllables in different languages. It is meant to help learning the very first sounds of a new language, for children or for adults.

This applications are really great tools for teachers to use and execute in classroom environments. Other tools such as Ekiga is a great tool to have live conversations over the internet. This will help your students practice conversational drills. Another application is Gizmo which will let you record conversations and study them.
