Learning Linux nowadays come not from just one source. The whole environment of videos, podcasts, forums, chats and many tools to interact with different Linux communities. In this article we will rate the different podcast communities that had form around Linux for specific reasons. Podcasts come and go however some even if they go, the repostories remain and the tools they talk about remain pretty much the same. This means you won't have many difference between distros or between versions. We still recommend you to read the manuals and changelogs to ensure no major change on between versions.
The Linux Link TechShow - Rating 3 of 5
This is the lounge of the Linux users, the podcast usually
serves to enjoy and have a good time about personal experiences,
work experience and interviews with innovators of the open source
world. Expect a lot of focus on distro wars, news discussion and
the interview. However it has little or no how-to content to use or
learn how to use Linux. However is very reliable podcast and expect
them to catch them live every wednesday.

Lotta Linux Links - Rating 4 of 5
Driving at 65 Miles an hour Lotta Linux Links is the inventor of
the concept "carcasting" since he do his podcast from his car. His
commentaries are also very interesting and more how-to, the only
downside is that the content is somehow too geeky to the majority
of non Linux users. This is great if you are a Linux power
user.

Going Linux - Rating 5 of 5
This is a real great podcast for Linux newbies and power users,
the whole podcast is based on using the Linux desktop applications.
They go indepth to some of the applications, the podcast however
takes a while to launch (every month) as opposed to the regular
weekly schedule from the rest.

Linux Reality - Rating 5 of 5
This is the starchild of the howto Linux podcast. Very good
sound quality, great production and content. The topics go in an
incremental and sequencial evolution on what to use so please start
from the beginning. This is very instructional and probably the
best way to get yourself into Linux as a newbie.

Linux Outlaws - Rating 3 of 5
This is a relative new podcast, the topic is also very news and
interview oriented format and I guess that this is a fun podcast.
The content is not as instructional as one would want it but gives
good delivery of content.

Fresh Ubuntu - Rating 3 of 5
Fresh ubuntu is very oriented toward Ubuntu exclusive. If you
use ubuntu and really like your distribution this is an Ubuntu only
podcast that can help you out. However the content is not as
instructional as the 5 points.

Linux Basement - Rating 4 of 5
Another great podcast, also instructional but just like lotta
Linux links this podcast might be a little advanced information for
Linux power users but definetly on the to do list. Chad, the host
of the podcast is a great personality to the show and is also an
easi to learn podcast. Since he works in an education environment
his comments of Linux on the education might be very useful for
teachers and tech people on schools. Share it with your school IT

Productive Linux - Rating 2 of 5
This is a great podcast for linux newbies or experts, is based
on using applications in Linux. The high expertise of the host
might make the topics a bit too picky for a linux newbie to use.
For example, using very small and obscure applications that even
thought are great on old computers not everyone might be able to
get them on the desktop off the bat. However this might be great
again for IT schools because they could make very resource oriented
desktops for the IT desktop environment.
